Bahrain is set to host the second edition of Fintech Forward at the Exhibition World Bahrain, Manama, Bahrain, from October 2nd to October 3rd.
The two-day event will be hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), with support from the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB).
It will feature a series of insightful panels and discourse. Fintech Forward will serve as a platform to unite global fintech experts with financial institutions and governments.
They will address key topics across several fields including generative AI, blockchain technologies, fincrime, open banking, and best practices in sustainable financial endeavours.
Bahrain’s financial sphere
The CBB, as a financial regulator, has helped to constantly enhance the competitiveness of Bahrain’s financial services sector, supporting the nationwide transition to a digital economy.
It has done this by pioneering new regulatory frameworks and legislation and introducing innovative platforms like the Regulatory Sandbox.
Bahrain EDB is also another massive contributor to the financial sector. It has helped to attract investments into focused sectors in line with national policies, fostering discussions with private and public sectors to create a business-friendly environment.
Bahrain has earned a reputation as a leading hub of fintech in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This reputation is due to its thriving financial services ecosystem which includes a balanced portfolio of leading international conventional banking institutions alongside new financial players.
With the successful maiden event last year, Fintech Forward has cemented itself as a platform for innovative leaders to share experiences, collaborate on learnings, and connect with their peers.
This year’s event is expected to be yet another resounding success. It will help showcase Bahrain’s progress in digital transformation. It will also expand its fintech space, and ensure success in developing a highly skilled talent pool.
