Knowlix AI Launches AI Platform to Power African SME Growth

Knowlix AI has launched its AI-powered business platform across Africa, helping SMEs automate invoicing, inventory, CRM, and back-office operations from one system.

The launch marks Knowlix AI’s entry into Africa’s fast-growing SME software market, where businesses are increasingly adopting digital tools to improve productivity, reduce administrative workloads, and streamline operations.

At launch, the platform will be available in Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Egypt.

Knowlix AI combines customer relationship management, invoicing, inventory management, project tracking, and other back-office functions within a unified system designed for SMEs.

The company said the platform has been localised for each supported market, incorporating country-specific tax rules, currencies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements to help businesses remain compliant while simplifying financial management.

Although Knowlix AI is entering the African market without an existing customer base, businesses across the continent can begin using the platform immediately. Following a free trial period, subscription plans start at USD 24.90 per month.

Founded in 2021 by Peter Meie and Francesco Wiedemann, Knowlix AI is built on an open-source software architecture that allows the platform to adapt to different regulatory environments and evolving business requirements across international markets.

A central feature of the platform is its AI Teammate, an intelligent assistant designed to automate routine administrative tasks.

The AI can generate quotations and invoices, convert meeting notes into actionable tasks, manage inventory replenishment requests, and automate a range of everyday business processes.

While the platform automates operational workflows, business owners retain full control, with key actions requiring user approval before execution.

Knowlix AI enters an increasingly competitive SME software market alongside global providers such as Odoo, Zoho, HubSpot, and Microsoft, as well as African startups including Moniebook, Orda Africa, and Trembi, all of which are developing digital tools tailored to the operational needs of businesses across the continent.

The launch reflects growing demand for AI-powered business software as African SMEs accelerate digital transformation and seek cost-effective solutions to improve operational efficiency, financial management, and business growth.

Why Knowlix AI Matters to MENA

Knowlix AI’s expansion reflects a broader shift toward AI-powered business software for SMEs across emerging markets. As governments in the GCC and wider MENA region accelerate digital transformation, demand is growing for affordable AI tools that help businesses automate operations without investing in complex enterprise systems.

For MENA startups and investors, the launch highlights a fast-growing opportunity in AI for SMEs, one of the region’s largest underserved markets. It also underscores a wider trend: AI is moving beyond chatbots into practical business applications that improve productivity, compliance, finance, inventory management, and customer operations. Companies that successfully localise these solutions for regional regulations, tax systems, and languages are likely to gain a competitive edge across both Africa and the Middle East.
