”The first app we developed was the HR Hub and Ready Jobseeker. These apps cater to the needs of talent acquisition for businesses. I always had the vision to develop an app that would simplify HR management processes and ensure operational excellence,” Abiri shares, reflecting on her journey. 

After several development attempts and setbacks, RBetach was finally launched in 2023 and has been making waves ever since. RBetach isn’t just another HR software. It’s a comprehensive platform that leverages AI and automation to streamline processes, foster employee engagement, and drive better business decision-making.

“In Qatar, the RBetach software would have a comprehensive range of employee benefits relevant to GCC employees, catering to the growing needs of businesses in the region,” Abiri explains.

While many others worry about Artificial Intelligence taking away jobs, RBetach is harnessing the power of AI to revolutionize HR, and Abiri is particularly excited about its potential.

“AI has the potential to expose employees to deeper knowledge in any subject and free them from mundane, repetitive tasks,” she says. 

Data analytics, data security, and cybersecurity are also key areas of focus for RBetach. As Abiri points out, “Ensuring the protection of sensitive data will be vital as we continue to innovate and grow in the digital space.”

Building a Winning Team

Abiri’s leadership philosophy is rooted in building a strong, multi-functional team. “I prioritize knowledge, skills, abilities, and cultural fit when assessing talent,” she explains.

The visionary also values soft skills like self-awareness, self-motivation, and discipline, believing that these qualities are essential for success in any role.

Managing a team across different countries comes with its own set of challenges, but Abiri is confident in her approach. “Currently, all my team members are Nigerians, and we collaborate with outsourcing firms in different regions,” she says.

“As we continue to expand our services, we plan to bring in more international talent to enhance our global capabilities.”

Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Success

Abiri’s journey as a founder has not been without its challenges. “My biggest challenge has been scaling, managing growth, and handling cash flow,” she admits.

However, these challenges have only made her a stronger leader. “I’ve evolved into more of a situational leader, adapting to changing circumstances and becoming more dynamic in my approach to leading and managing my team,” she reflects.

RBetach has already achieved significant success, making a measurable impact on clients’ businesses.

Sharing a story of a client with a 40-year history who had never used HR software before RBetach, Abiri said, “Onboarding them onto our app required extensive training and resources to ensure a smooth transition.

“The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. For a business that was just beginning to integrate technology into its HR processes, they found the perfect fit for their team. They successfully moved away from paper-based and manual workflows.”

A Vision for the Future

Abiri has ambitious plans for RBetach’s future with this year’s focus being Qatar.

Her words, “For the remainder of this year, our focus is on Qatar, where RBetach will introduce an expanded range of employee benefits. We’re leveraging AI to enhance business processes, which is especially exciting because it allows us to serve and create even more value for businesses.”

“Our goal is to become an inclusive, user-friendly ERP platform, with a strong emphasis on user experience. We aim to meet customers at their level of technological understanding and aspire to become the largest ERP built by Africans for the global market,” she added.

Abiri’s advice for aspiring founders is to develop strong self-awareness and embrace a can-do mindset. “The most important advice I can give entrepreneurs is to develop strong self-awareness,” she says.

“Everything becomes possible with a can-do mindset.”
