KSGAAL Center Harnesses AI to Serve Arabic Language

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) Center is enhancing the status of the Arabic language in the digital age by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

In recent years, remarkable developments have occurred in the projects it manages, particularly in integrating modern technologies with the Arabic language.

Its most significant initiative is the official launch of the Arabic AI Center in April 2024.

The establishment of the center aimed to achieve a major advancement in utilizing AI technologies to support the Arabic language and promote its dissemination.

As the first center specialized in AI for natural language processing in Arabic, it leads in this field by providing comprehensive services that enable users to enhance their local and international use of the Arabic language.

This aligns with the goals of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the key initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030, and the National Strategy for Data and Artificial Intelligence.

Through the center, KSGAAL is developing automated Arabic language processing mechanisms while promoting their use across various technical fields.

The center focuses on creating digital tools to enhance the quality of language education and developing technological solutions that support the Arabic language in modern applications.

The initiative is part of efforts in computational linguistics, linking modern technology with the Arabic language.

The KSGAAL center targets researchers and developers worldwide who specialize in AI and automated Arabic language processing. It aims to establish a global reference for linguistic corpora and dictionaries, enhancing the role of AI technologies in the processing and development of the Arabic language at local and international levels.
