Nafti Launches Tunisia Business Forum to Boost Africa Trade Gateway

Business Forum events in Denmark took center stage this week as Tunisia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Mohamed Ali Nafti inaugurated the Tunisian-Danish Business Forum at the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Copenhagen. The forum marks a major push by Tunisia to position itself as a crucial commercial link between Europe and Africa.

Joined by a high-level delegation of Tunisian entrepreneurs from the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises (CONECT) and Danish business leaders, Minister Nafti emphasized the shared commitment to deepening bilateral ties in fast-growing sectors such as clean energy, technology, and sustainability.

Held during Nafti’s official visit to Denmark, the forum underlined both countries’ eagerness to explore new partnership opportunities. The Tunisian minister highlighted the potential to unlock significant economic growth by boosting cooperation and doubling trade volumes within the next three years.

Nafti identified pharmaceuticals, agricultural technology, and digital services as strategic sectors for collaboration, emphasizing Tunisia’s role as a natural gateway for Danish companies seeking entry into emerging African markets.

“Tunisia offers a stable, well-connected platform for regional access, and we are dedicated to fostering a business environment that supports sustainable growth and innovation,” Nafti said.

Reaffirming the Tunisian government’s commitment, he noted ongoing efforts to improve legal frameworks and investment incentives to stimulate economic activity across various sectors.

The business forum featured focused B2B sessions between Tunisian and Danish companies, designed to build concrete partnerships aligned with both nations’ priorities. These dialogues will continue at the upcoming Nordic-Tunisian Sustainable Business Forum scheduled for October in Tunis.

Beyond the business discussions, Minister Nafti also met with the Tunisian community in Denmark, recognizing their contributions and encouraging their active involvement in Tunisia’s global engagement.

This visit to Denmark is the second stop on Nafti’s Scandinavian tour, which aims to strengthen Tunisia’s international ties and promote its growing position as a regional trade and investment hub.
