NeLC Commences 'AI Sandbox in Digital Learning' Initiative

The National eLearning Center (NeLC) has inaugurated the “AI Sandbox in Digital Learning” initiative.

The initiative is a platform for innovation in Artificial Intelligence solutions within online learning that seeks to drive creativity and enhance digital learning practices.

It also wishes to improve educational quality and stimulate investment in the digital economy in line with the strategic goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

This initiative offers a supportive environment for experimenting with solutions across digital learning domains, accelerating the integration of AI technologies in digital learning, and cultivating a community of experts and researchers dedicated to this field.

It is open to researchers, developers, practitioners, and both government and private entities with interests in experimenting with AI in digital learning.

Focusing on AI-based teaching methods, adaptive content, and skill development, the initiative provides a range of resources.

These include technical tools, research-backed resources for development and testing, testing facilities, data access, learning environments, expert consultations, and assistance in establishing connections with supportive and funding organizations.

The AI Sandbox in Digital Learning is part of NeLC’s strategic efforts, in collaboration with national entities.

Some include the Digital Government Authority, the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development.

NeLC invites those interested in AI and digital learning to register on the website https://nelc.gov.sa/en.

For further inquiries, individuals can reach out through the official channels by dialling the unified number 9200 15991 or emailing care@nelc.gov.sa.
