Aanaab Raises $7m in Series A Investment Round

Aanaab, a platform specializing in digital professional development for teachers, announced the completion of a $7 million Series A funding round. 

This funding which was led by Dallah Investment Company, comes as a strategic step to enhance Aanaab’s role in supporting digital education and raising the skills of teachers in the Arab region.

Aanaab was founded in 2019 by three entrepreneurs: Dr. Munira Jamjoum, Naila Al-Khalawi, and Fouad Al-Farhan. 

In a few years, the platform has succeeded in reaching more than 200,000 teachers in more than 10 Arab countries , providing certified training solutions designed to enhance teaching standards and improve professional performance.

Aanaab is distinguished by providing training courses based on innovation and quality, which has made it a major partner for vocational training for many governmental and private entities in the region.

Aanaab funding objectives 

Tribe Techie has learnt that the funding will be used to expand operations into existing and new markets and also develop training programs to include new sectors.

It will further be instrumental in upgrading technology infrastructure using AI technologies to improve user experience and enhance engagement.

Dr. Munira Jamjoum, CEO of Aanaab platform, confirmed: “As we expand our efforts, we focus on building essential skills in strategic sectors that drive economic growth and prosperity, while contributing to achieving Saudi Vision 2030 by qualifying the national workforce to meet its evolving human capital needs.

For his part, Tariq Khoshhal, CEO of Dallah Investment Company, stated: “The education sector is witnessing a global digital transformation, and with the increasing demand for professional development tools for teachers, our investment in Aanaab represents a strategic move that is in line with our vision to support projects that achieve social change and raise the level of education and training.”

So far, Aanaab has received the support of prominent investors such as: Flash Capital, Rethink Education (US educational technology venture capital arm), and Noor Nouf for knowledge .

With the financial support and new strategic direction, Aanab platform seeks to enhance its work in the education technology sector through:

  • Targeting new sectors: Expanding the scope of its training programmes to meet diverse professional needs, in line with market developments.
  • Using AI: Develop innovative tools that improve user experience and enable more personalized and effective solutions for teachers.
  • Strengthening regional and international partnerships: Continue working with governments and educational institutions to expand its presence in the region and beyond.

Aanaab’s efforts to promote digital education are in line with Saudi Vision 2030 , which seeks to develop human capital and raise the efficiency of teachers to serve the digital economy and innovation in the Kingdom and the region.

This funding round represents a pivotal step that strengthens Aanaab’s position as one of the pioneers of digital transformation in education in the Arab world, as the platform aims to enable teachers to face the challenges of the digital age and achieve higher levels of efficiency and professionalism.
