AI, Data, and Digital Careers Among UAE’s Fastest-Growing Jobs, Report Finds

The UAE job market is undergoing a major transformation as automation, artificial intelligence, and workforce evolution reshape employment trends. A report by the World Economic Forum, Future of Jobs Report 2025, indicates that hiring prospects in the UAE are improving, with 46% of employers expecting a better job market by 2030.

AI and automation are driving these changes, leading to a surge in demand for AI specialists, data analysts, and business development professionals. Companies are increasingly focusing on reskilling and upskilling their workforce, leveraging AI to enhance efficiency. However, skill gaps continue to be a challenge, with labour market turnover projected at 33% over the next five years. While finding skilled employees remains difficult, ongoing investments in mid-career training are expected to help bridge this gap.

AI adoption in the UAE is already widespread, with 87% of organizations implementing AI-driven programs, slightly above the global average of 88%. Businesses are adopting strategies such as reskilling employees to work alongside AI and hiring specialists in AI development.

Leadership, social influence, analytical thinking, and technological literacy are among the most in-demand skills expected by 2030. Broader economic factors, including geopolitical shifts, digital expansion, and climate-related investments, are also set to influence employment trends.

Despite concerns over rising costs and economic slowdowns, employers remain optimistic about hiring. Government policies supporting workforce development, such as flexible hiring regulations and investments in training, are expected to improve talent availability. Additionally, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) remain a priority, with 85% of UAE employers committed to strengthening DEI initiatives in their workplaces.
