Advantage Oman Forum 2025 Opens Doors to Direct Investor Engagement

Advantage Oman Forum 2025 kicked off with a strong message: Oman is serious about accelerating private sector growth and making it easier for investors to connect with decision-makers. Organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) through Invest Oman, the Forum highlighted Oman’s commitment to transparency, streamlined investment procedures, and fast-tracked access to key sectors.

Speaking to international investors and delegates, Ibtisam Al Farooji, Undersecretary for Investment Promotion at MOCIIP, emphasized the government’s goal of opening strategic industries through direct, transparent engagement.

“We open the doors to Oman’s most strategic and future-focused sectors, and you will meet the senior government officials directly shaping their development,” Al Farooji said during the Advantage Oman Forum.

Sectors like renewable energy, green hydrogen, advanced manufacturing, logistics, digital technologies, sustainable tourism, and fisheries were presented as key investment opportunities, backed by Oman’s natural advantages and national development plans like Vision 2040.

Al Farooji also stressed that reforms are at the heart of Oman’s approach. “Through Invest Oman and our network of partners, we have streamlined procedures, cut red tape, and introduced targeted incentives to swiftly move from interest to investment,” she said. “Certainty and direct access are essential, and today’s format ensures investors meet the decision-makers, from free and special economic zones to development funds and line ministries.”

A major highlight of the Advantage Oman Forum 2025 was the signing of a $565 million clean energy manufacturing agreement with JA Solar, underscoring Oman’s ability to turn dialogue into action.

Following the official sessions, many visiting CEOs and delegates are set to tour key investment hubs and cultural sites across Oman, experiencing firsthand the nation’s unique blend of economic opportunity and heritage.
