WSSL and Dilmune Cloud secured the top two positions at the 25th edition of the StartUp Bahrain Pitch competition, an initiative supported by Tamkeen and Bahrain’s SME Development Board.

The competition, which has become a key platform for early-stage startups in Bahrain, brought together founders, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders to showcase emerging businesses across sectors, including SaaS, logistics, cloud infrastructure, and legal technology.

WSSL claimed first place with its specialised point-of-sale platform designed for laundry and cleaning service providers. The startup’s platform centralises workflows, payments, order tracking, and customer management into a single operational dashboard tailored to service-based businesses.

Dilmune Cloud secured second place with its cloud management platform, which enables businesses to manage hosting, storage, and applications through a unified interface. The company aims to simplify cloud operations for SMEs managing multiple digital environments.

Other startups participating in the competition included Hawaa, a platform connecting users with freelance delivery drivers, and Mustashar, which provides digital legal services including company formation, contract drafting, and legal consultations.

The judging panel included representatives from TAJAWUZ, BeVentures, Mumtalakat, and Plus VC. Startups were evaluated based on innovation, scalability, market opportunity, and execution capability.

Basel Faisal of WSSL described the win as an important milestone for the company’s growth and market positioning. Osama Al-Jammal of Dilmune Cloud highlighted the value of engaging with regional founders and investors as the company prepares for future expansion.

The competition comes as Bahrain continues to expand its support for startups and entrepreneurship through regulatory reforms, accelerator programmes, funding initiatives, and ecosystem partnerships aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a regional innovation hub.

Why It Matters to MENA

The success of WSSL and Dilmune Cloud reflects the growing maturity of the MENA region’s startup ecosystem, particularly in sectors such as SaaS, cloud infrastructure, logistics, and legal tech.

Backed by organisations including Tamkeen, Bahrain continues positioning itself as a founder-friendly innovation hub through startup funding, accelerator programmes, and ecosystem support initiatives.

For regional entrepreneurs and investors, competitions like StartUp Bahrain are becoming increasingly important for discovering scalable early-stage companies and strengthening cross-border startup collaboration across the Gulf.
