Dubai Launches Global Destinations Academy for Content Creators

Dubai is raising the bar in travel marketing with the launch of the Beautiful Destinations Academy, Powered by Dubai, a global first in professional development for tourism-focused content creators.

Spearheaded by the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Visit Dubai), this initiative targets a growing industry gap: although 76% of travel decisions are influenced by social media, just 24% of tourism brands have the in-house talent to produce compelling content.

“This academy is a testament to our dedication to fostering creativity and excellence in the tourism sector,” said Issam Kazim, CEO of Visit Dubai.

“It supports the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, and strengthens Dubai’s standing as a global destination for visitors, residents, and professionals alike.”

By creating a structured and credible certification process for digital creators, the academy aims to professionalize a space that has often operated informally. This positions Dubai not only as a tourism hub but also as a launchpad for the creator economy, which Goldman Sachs estimates could hit $480 billion by 2027.

The academy isn’t just about teaching people how to shoot better content, it’s about building a new talent pipeline for the digital tourism space. Its curriculum combines creative skills, marketing know-how, and commercial strategy to help content creators make a real impact in the industry.

It also provides tourism boards and hospitality brands with access to a certified network of skilled creators, helping them keep up with the fast-evolving digital landscape.

A key part of the program’s mission is to foster diversity, sourcing talent from across different cultures and geographies to bring fresh perspectives to tourism marketing.

“This is about creating a new professional category within the tourism ecosystem,” said Jeremy Jauncey, CEO and Founder of Beautiful Destinations Academy. “We envision a world where our academy certification becomes the global standard for content creators in travel marketing.”

Dubai’s move reinforces its ambition to be at the intersection of innovation, culture, and business, and shows how the MENA region continues to lead global conversations in tourism, talent development, and digital transformation.
