During the conference, Bahrain’s advantages as an attractive destination for data center and cloud computing investments were presented to potential investors.
The launch of Bahrain’s first Amazon Web Services (AWS) hyperscale data center in 2018 increased data traffic in the MENA region. This growth has made Bahrain a key destination for global providers, attracted by initiatives like the Government’s Cloud-First Policy, the data jurisdiction law, and nationwide 5G networks.
These measures have positioned Bahrain as a prime location for data center and cloud computing investments, offering operating cost advantages, a large talent pool, and strong global digital connectivity.
The Datacloud Global Congress 2024 attracted over 2,800 decision-makers from finance, technology, energy, data center providers, and government agencies, creating opportunities for networking, deal-making, and learning from digital infrastructure experts.
