This move comes as Gulf states intensify investment in AI infrastructure to diversify their economies, with Saudi Arabia aiming to position itself as a regional hub for advanced digital technology. The delivery of the high-performance Nvidia graphics processing units (GPUs) enables Humain to process massive datasets and run sophisticated AI models, including large language models similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
“The first shipment of the latest state-of-the-art Nvidia AI GPU chips has arrived,” said Tareq Amin, CEO of Humain. “The team will focus on rapid deployment, ensuring everything is operational before the start of the new year.”

High-speed GPUs like these are essential for AI research and enterprise-scale applications, allowing computations to occur far faster than standard servers. Humain plans to deploy these chips across its upcoming data centres in Riyadh, with a total capacity eventually reaching hundreds of thousands of units over the next three years.
Humain has expanded partnerships with Nvidia, Elon Musk’s xAI, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to establish AI-enabled infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. The company will develop a 500-megawatt facility in collaboration with xAI and a dedicated “AI Zone” managed by AWS, deploying up to 150,000 Nvidia GPUs.
“This AI compute capacity positions Saudi Arabia to serve both domestic and international clients,” said Mahesh Jaishankar, senior adviser at Arthur D. Little. “Given the scale, some of this capacity will likely be offered for regional exports, boosting the MENA AI ecosystem.”
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has prioritized AI investments, leveraging Saudi Arabia’s energy resources to support high-powered computing infrastructure. Amin emphasized that state funding has been readily accessible for AI initiatives, facilitating rapid growth in the sector.
Why Humain Nvidia AI Chips Matter for MENA
Humain’s AI infrastructure expansion marks a significant milestone for the MENA region. By offering locally based, high-performance computing resources, Saudi Arabia can attract AI startups, global enterprises, and regional governments looking to adopt advanced AI solutions. This initiative not only accelerates the Kingdom’s digital transformation but also strengthens MENA’s position as a hub for AI innovation, talent development, and cross-border technology adoption.
