Mastercard Egypt Partners with Boost to Accelerate MSME Growth

Mastercard has partnered with B2B commerce platform Boost to drive the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Egypt and other key African markets.

The collaboration aims to empower MSMEs with advanced digital payment solutions, embedded credit options, and integrated supply chain financing. Key target markets include Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.

Amnah Ajmal, Executive Vice President of Market Development, EEMEA at Mastercard, highlighted the partnership’s importance: “Through our collaboration with Boost, we are strengthening the support ecosystem for MSMEs by offering essential digital tools and financial solutions to help them thrive in today’s digital economy.”

The initiative aligns with the company’s global commitment to integrating 50 million MSMEs into the digital economy by 2025.

Mike Quinn, Co-Founder and CEO of Boost emphasized the platform’s scalability and effectiveness in reaching diverse markets through digital channels, including WhatsApp ordering solutions. “Mastercard will help us elevate our platform to create transformative value for customers and partners while fueling our global ambitions,” he said.

The partnership builds on Mastercard’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital infrastructure, including its recent launch of advanced technology solutions in Saudi Arabia to boost e-commerce capabilities.

With this collaboration, Mastercard and Boost are set to drive significant advancements in financial inclusion and economic empowerment across emerging markets.
