In a major step toward modernising public services, Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has unveiled two AI-powered virtual assistants, “Smart Assistant” and “Saif”, at a press conference held in collaboration with Microsoft.
This move aligns with the Ministry’s broader efforts to enhance digital transformation and raise the quality of government service delivery.
The “Smart Assistant” has been integrated into the Single Window platform, while “Saif” is now active across the Ministry’s official website and mobile app.
Both tools are designed to offer round-the-clock support, helping users complete transactions and access information more efficiently, without the need for direct human intervention.
Speaking at the MOCI launch, Mr. Mubarak Alkhelaifi, Director of the Single Window Department, said the Smart Assistant is designed to streamline procedures and accelerate transaction times by providing instant, step-by-step guidance to users.
“The service is available around the clock, enhancing both the efficiency and continuity of service delivery,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ahmad Al-Kuwari, Director of the Information Technology Department at MOCI, described “Saif” as a strategic upgrade to the Ministry’s digital services landscape.
“Saif was developed using the latest artificial intelligence technologies to offer users a fast, reliable, and interactive experience,” he noted. “It enables them to access information and complete services with ease.”
Mr. Al-Kuwari added that these initiatives are part of the Ministry’s comprehensive plan to modernise its digital infrastructure and expand its e-services ecosystem, with a focus on optimising the user journey and setting a new benchmark for smart government platforms in the region.
The launch of Smart Assistant and Saif reflects MoCI’s commitment to making public services more advanced, accessible, and aligned with Qatar’s vision for a digital-first government.
Both tools are now fully operational: Smart Assistant via the Single Window platform, and Saif via the Ministry’s website and mobile app.
