Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, Monsha’at, is set to launch Media and Marketing Week from July 20 to 24, in a nationwide effort to drive innovation and investment in the Kingdom’s growing creative sectors.
The week-long initiative will take place across Monsha’at’s SME support centers in Riyadh, Madina, Jeddah, and Alkhobar, bringing together over 70 enablers from both the public and private sectors.
Participating entities include the Ministry of Commerce, the General Commission for Audiovisual Media, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, and the Government Communication Center at the Ministry of Media.

A Broader Strategy for SME Empowerment
Established in 2016 under the Ministry of Commerce, Monsha’at plays a central role in regulating and supporting the Kingdom’s SME ecosystem. Its core goal is to raise SME contribution to 35% of GDP by 2030, up from the current 20%, through targeted programs, policy support, and ecosystem partnerships.
Alongside sector-focused events, Monsha’at continues to champion entrepreneurship in academic spaces. Its recently launched “University Entrepreneurs” competition aims to nurture startup ideas among students, faculty, and staff across Saudi universities.
Through intensive training camps, participants are encouraged to transform academic research and innovation into scalable ventures.
Together, initiatives like Media and Marketing Week and University Entrepreneurs reflect Monsha’at’s long-term vision: to build a dynamic entrepreneurial culture and position SMEs as a key pillar of Saudi Arabia’s economic future.
