Nvidia partners with Ooredoo for AI GPU services

Nvidia, a leader in AI chip manufacturing, is expanding into the Middle East and North Africa through a partnership with Qatari telecom giant Ooredoo. While the specific terms of the partnership remain undisclosed, it will enable the deployment of Nvidia’s advanced AI technology in Ooredoo’s data centers located in Qatar, Algeria, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait, and the Maldives.

This collaboration marks Nvidia’s first significant move in the region, offering local businesses and governments direct access to its sought-after AI and graphics processing capabilities. Ooredoo intends to install thousands of Nvidia Tensor Core GPUs in its data centers, allowing customers to utilize cutting-edge AI tools, including generative AI functionalities.

Ooredoo is developing an AI-ready platform that integrates Nvidia’s technology across various systems, software, and services. This platform will enable governments, businesses, and startups to “securely process their private datasets as well as produce valuable insights as tokens that power innovations for its users,” according to a statement from Ooredoo.

The telecom company will provide GPU-as-a-Service, giving customers on-demand access to advanced AI tools, including generative AI technologies.
