Qatar Airways Launches Al-Driven Travel Experience at Web Summit

Qatar Airways Group, the official sponsor of Web Summit Qatar, opened the biggest technology conference in the Middle East by exhibiting its latest innovative travel technology products.

Among the highlights was an exclusive reveal of a promptless Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), designed to effortlessly assist customers in discovering their ideal journeys within Qatar Airways’ expansive network of over 170 destinations.

Enthusiastic about the revelation, Thierry Antinori, the Chief Commercial Office, at Qatar Airways, said: “ Qatar Airways is helping push the boundaries of what to expect from the travel experience of the future. When it comes to digital innovation, our approach is to always focus on how we can gain advantages for our passengers and employees along with operational efficiencies by using technology.”

He went further to say: “The airline and its subsidiaries are constantly evolving, working hand-in-hand with partners, stakeholders, and regulators to utilize the latest advances in aviation and travel technology. It is an exciting time for the airline’s innovative and ideating workforce, and we are working to foster a culture of creativity and innovation. Participants in the inaugural Qatar Airways exhibit, during the web summit were offered a glimpse into the future of travel with the airline’s latest innovations on display.

The new Generative AI experience aims to simplify and personalize travel planning. Utilizing seamless visual interactions and an engaging 3D map, customers’ travel preferences are understood, eradicating the need for manual searches and extensive text inputs. This advancement is part of Qatar Airways’ continual efforts to move the boundaries of travel, fostering passenger comfort and convenience at every stage of their journey.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club has recently upgraded its program with the launch of the Privilege Club Collection platform, now accessible to all members. This platform is designed to revolutionize how members use their Avios, providing exciting opportunities to bid on a variety of curated packages.

In recognition of its innovative digital workplace culture, Qatar Airways has also received two prestigious Human Resources awards: the “Brilliance Award for Employee Engagement” and the “Gold Award for Use of Technology in Internal Communications” at the 2024 International Brilliance Awards.
