QRDI Collaborates with Alchemist Accelerator

On February 19th, the Qatar News Agency announced a new collaboration between the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council and Alchemist Accelerator, a leading venture builder specializing in early-stage B2B startups. This partnership will launch Alchemist Doha, an exclusive program designed specifically for tech startups.

According to QRDI, Alchemist Doha will leverage Alchemist’s extensive global network and support programs to identify promising international startups with strong founders, innovative products, and early market traction. These startups will be integrated into Qatar’s local Remote Debug Interface (RDI) ecosystem. Additionally, the program will assist eligible local tech startups in Qatar in expanding their reach globally through Alchemist’s network and services.

It noted that by attracting promising global tech founders to Qatar and aiding local tech entrepreneurs with a robust global network, Qatar’s tech startup ecosystem is expected to continue its growth and development. This effort complements QRDI’s other recent initiatives, including the Qatar Open Innovation and Technology Development Grant, as well as long-standing programs that support scientific research and talent development in universities and national labs.

On this occasion, Engr. Omar Al Ansari, QRDI Council Secretary General stated, “QRDI Council is committed to building a dynamic rDI ecosystem in Qatar, and Alchemist Doha stands as an important part of this mission.” 

He further emphasized, “Our partnership with Alchemist boosts innovation by creating seeds for future tech-based industries, in alignment with QRDI 2030 Strategy and Qatar National Development Strategy.
