SEVEN, Tawal Partner to Build Advanced Digital Infrastructure

SEVEN (Saudi Entertainment Ventures), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and a subsidiary of Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), has announced the signing of a strategic agreement with Tawal, a leading Saudi ICT infrastructure company. 

The partnership was recently signed at the LEAP conference, a global platform for technology and innovation, with the aim of establishing a neutral digital infrastructure covering all SEVEN entertainment destinations in the Kingdom.

Tribe Techie learnt that the agreement focuses on developing the internal and external infrastructure of the 21 entertainment destinations across the Kingdom. 

This includes the design, management, operation and maintenance of a neutral infrastructure that is compatible with all telecom operators. This infrastructure will feature indoor coverage systems (IBS) and multi-band antenna distribution systems as well as neutral telecom towers at SEVEN destinations. 

The infrastructure is designed to be flexible and scalable in the future, enhancing the capabilities of 4G and 5G networks, supporting the Internet of Things (IoT), and enabling the provision of advanced ICT services, contributing to improving the digital experience for visitors to Seven destinations by providing seamless connectivity and superior digital interaction.

The agreement was signed by Abdulrahman Al Ali, IT Director at Saudi Entertainment Projects Company SEVEN, and Eng. Mohammed Al Haqani, CEO of Tawal, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

SEVEN, the Saudi Entertainment Ventures Company, aims to redefine the concept of entertainment in the Kingdom and enhance the visitor experience by developing and operating 21 entertainment destinations in 14 cities around the Kingdom, with investments exceeding 50 billion Saudi riyals. 

These destinations will feature innovative and unique world-class experiences, in addition to global strategic partnerships in the entertainment sector.

Meanwhile, Tawal focuses on creating and managing a collaborative ICT infrastructure. 

The company has a huge portfolio of over 21,000 towers and operates in several countries in Asia and Europe, adhering to the highest quality standards in the industry.
