VUZ Raises $12M Pre-Series C to Expand in Emerging Markets

VUZ, the immersive video platform transforming how audiences experience content, has raised $12 million in a Pre-Series C round led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The fresh capital will power the expansion across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Africa, Asia, and the United States, as it scales operations and advances its immersive content ecosystem.

The round also saw participation from AlJazira Capital and CrossWork VC through its Success Fund, alongside returning investors and prominent Saudi family offices.

Unlike traditional video platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, or Twitch, VUZ offers fully immersive 360° video experiences—bringing users “inside” major events like the GRAMMY Awards, La Liga matches, and Dubai Fashion Week.

Its platform supports multiple devices including smartphones, web browsers, smart TVs, and VR headsets like Apple Vision Pro and Oculus.

This funding builds on the company’s $20 million Series B raise in 2022, which helped secure exclusive immersive streaming rights with global brands such as La Liga and the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

VUZ now partners with more than 100 content creators, collectively reaching over 100 million followers.

Its proprietary Studio equips creators with tools to produce immersive content at scale, while enabling live commerce features that let viewers purchase products during interactive streams.

Vuz is Targeting 5 Billion Views by 2026

With regional offices in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, and the U.S., VUZ has already launched operations in Egypt, Kenya, and Nigeria, with South Africa, India, and Indonesia next on its roadmap.

The platform aims to achieve five billion content views by 2026.

“IFC saw the potential in what we’re building—especially as a content-first, creator-powered platform expanding across emerging markets,” said Khaled Zaatarah, Founder and CEO of VUZ. “Their support validates our progress and unlocks major growth opportunities ahead.”

As VUZ strengthens its footprint in emerging markets and the creator economy, the company continues to position itself as a pioneering player in the immersive media space.
