The Digital Excellence Centre will serve as a collaborative hub where developers and engineers build AI solutions using Microsoft Azure. The platform is designed to support applications across key sectors, including healthcare, energy, and smart cities.

A central component of the initiative is workforce development, with the centre expected to train thousands of developers through advanced AI certification programs. The effort aims to address the growing demand for skilled talent in the MENA region’s technology sector.

By combining Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure with G42’s expertise in data governance and local compliance, the partnership is positioned to offer secure environments for deploying large-scale AI models. This includes support for enterprise and government use cases requiring high levels of data security and regulatory alignment.

Why G42 and Microsoft Partnership Matters

The launch underscores the UAE’s accelerating investment in AI infrastructure and talent development as part of its broader economic diversification strategy. It also highlights a growing trend in MENA toward sovereign AI capabilities, where countries are building localized, secure systems to support digital transformation and global competitiveness.
