GEA has launched the third edition of its accelerator program, marking a significant step in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to transform its entertainment industry. Designed to support 32 emerging startups, the program provides comprehensive resources such as mentorship, consultancy services, co-working spaces, and global exposure.
This initiative, reported by the Saudi Press Agency, aims to drive innovation, nurture entrepreneurship, and redefine the Kingdom’s entertainment landscape. Over the course of 10 months, participants will benefit from 192 hours of professional guidance and two international trips to gain insights into global market trends and opportunities.
Aligned with Vision 2030’s objectives to diversify the economy, the accelerator plays a pivotal role in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s entertainment sector. The industry is projected to create 450,000 jobs and contribute 4.2% to the nation’s GDP by 2030. By inspiring innovation and attracting investment, GEA is positioning Saudi Arabia as a leading regional hub for entertainment.
Building on the success of earlier editions, the first accelerator in 2023 received 260 project submissions, selecting 14 startups after rigorous evaluation. Participants benefited from tailored workshops, personalized consulting, and connections with investors. The second edition, launched mid-2023, expanded its efforts to address market-specific challenges, helping startups achieve long-term growth.
Previous participants gained valuable insights through initiatives like 56 hours of expert consultations in June 2023, where prominent Saudi entrepreneurs shared their expertise. The third edition aims to sustain this momentum, fostering innovation and collaboration while contributing to the Kingdom’s broader economic transformation.
