Egypt-based digital freight platform Nowlun has raised $600,000 in a funding extension led by Ingressive Capital, bringing its total seed funding to $2.3 million.
Previous backers in the round include Nama Ventures, A15, Sanabil 500 Global, and various angel investors.
Founded by Moataz Khamis, Mahmoud Khaled, and Ahmed Emara, Nowlun helps businesses manage full container load (FCL) and bulk cargo shipping with greater efficiency.
Its platform offers real-time tracking, instant updates, and transparent global freight solutions tailored for the MENA region.
“We’re building your smart Logistics Assistant, a tool that puts decades of industry expertise in the palm of your hand, helping you make faster, smarter shipping decisions every day,” said Moataz Khamis, CEO of Nowlun.
Nowlun: AI-Driven Freight Assistant in the Works
The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate AI integration across its operations. This includes developing a smart Logistics Assistant that provides ocean freight shippers with real-time insights, cost-saving recommendations, and decision-support tools.
Nowlun’s AI roadmap aims to reduce friction in a sector still plagued by manual workflows and opaque pricing. The team is also hiring and upskilling to scale its operational capacity and improve customer service.
The platform is doubling down on regional growth, with a focus on expanding in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, two of MENA’s largest logistics hubs. By infusing AI across the freight journey, from shipment booking to delivery, the company is pushing to make global trade smarter, faster, and more reliable.
Nowlun’s funding extension reflects investor confidence in digitizing freight across MENA. As it builds an AI-first logistics platform, the company is reshaping how regional businesses move goods globally.
