
On Sunday, 1st September, The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority and Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) rolled out the new QFC Digital Assets Framework 2024 in line with the Qatar Central Bank’s Third Financial Sector Strategy.
The framework, which aims to establish a comprehensive legal and regulatory foundation for digital assets within the QFC, addressed key areas such as tokenization, smart contracts, and digital asset custody.
