The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) and Quantiphi, a Google Cloud partner, have signed an agreement to establish a global technology hub in Qatar’s Free Zones. This initiative aims to address the increasing demand for AI and generative AI solutions, driving innovation and accelerating digital transformation across Qatar and the region.
The agreement was signed by QFZ CEO HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani and Quantiphi Co-Founder Ritesh Patel during the Google Cloud Summit in Doha, with senior executives from QFZ, Quantiphi, and Google Cloud in attendance.
This partnership comes one year after the launch of the Google Cloud region in Doha in 2023. Under the agreement, Quantiphi’s technology hub will enhance Qatar’s position as a leader in AI and digital innovation. The collaboration aims to strengthen cooperation between Quantiphi and QFZ in developing AI and generative AI enterprise solutions to advance Qatar’s technology sector.
