Raya, GIZ Launch Final FutureTECH Startup Accelerator

Raya Holding for Financial Investments has kicked off the third and final cycle of Raya FutureTECH, its startup accelerator programme launched in collaboration with GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).

The initiative falls under DevelopPPP, a German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) program that links private-sector innovation with development goals in emerging markets.

This cycle focuses on startups in key sectors that align with Raya’s operational footprint; IT, logistics, customer experience, fintech, clean energy, smart mobility, and retail.

Raya: Supporting Startups from Pilot to Scale

Startups selected for the programme receive:

  • Mentorship from company executives
  • Proof-of-concept support
  • Access to Raya’s infrastructure, capabilities, and partners

The final cycle began in March 2025, with participating founders engaging in tailored one-on-one coaching and technical sessions.

The programme will culminate in a flagship pitching night, where ten selected startups will present to a jury of representatives from Raya Holding and GIZ.

Winning startups will benefit from post-programme support, including funding opportunities and entry into an Investment Readiness Program.

The latter offers hands-on guidance on financial modeling, valuation, and customer acquisition, helping founders scale their products and expand impact.

Participating Startups Include:

  • For Wheelz – InsurTech and diagnostics platform for vehicle safety and cost efficiency
  • Tayara – Electric fleet-as-a-service platform for last-mile logistics
  • Nanovate – AI-powered voice and chat agents for automating sales and support
  • Mezatech – Circular electronics solution covering repair, recycling, and retail
  • Card-Y – Virtual payments solution for African cross-border commerce
  • EVRaid – Developer of locally made AI-integrated EV powertrains
  • Oaaps – Digital logistics and customs automation for global trade
  • WinFi – Smart Wi-Fi analytics platform for business engagement
  • TGS – Sustainable agri-tech innovating year-round food production
  • Meyahh – Marketplace for water treatment procurement across the supply chain

With this final accelerator cycle, Raya and GIZ are deepening their commitment to Egypt’s startup ecosystem by equipping founders with capital access, operational resources, and market pathways, positioning FutureTECH as a launchpad for high-impact ventures across emerging sectors.
