The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has announced the granting of an accreditation certificate to artificial intelligence service providers in the Kingdom.
This was done in a move aimed at enhancing the reliability of smart applications and ensuring improved quality of products and services provided to citizens, residents and visitors.
Tribe Techie further learnt that the accreditation comes as part of SDAIA’s efforts to enhance technical maturity and responsible use of artificial intelligence , as it includes:
- Raising the quality standards of artificial intelligence applications and services provided in the Kingdom.
- Encouraging companies and institutions to adopt the latest technological innovations .
- Boosting user confidence in AI-based solutions.
- Alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
This step is in line with the strategic directions of Saudi Vision 2030, led by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “SDAIA”, as the Kingdom focuses on:
- Achieving global leadership in advanced technologies and artificial intelligence .
- Supporting digital innovation to be a fundamental pillar of the national economy.
- Transforming the Kingdom into a global hub for modern technologies by enhancing the artificial intelligence environment.
The adoption of AI service providers is expected to stimulate the business and innovation environment, and enable local startups and technologies to provide more efficient and secure solutions.
