The Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (SEAAL) has unveiled an upgraded version of its electronic payment platform called “Fatourati 2.0,” designed to simplify bill payments for customers in Algiers and Tipasa.
This announcement was made by SEAAL’s Customer Director, Salah Harrache, during a press conference on Wednesday. She emphasized that this electronic platform aims to provide greater flexibility for debt settlement, addressing the needs and preferences expressed by SEAAL’s customers.
Accessible through SEAAL’s website or mobile application, the new platform streamlines the payment process, making it easier for customers to pay their water bills.
Since the launch of the original version in 2016, over 600,000 electronic transactions have been recorded for water bill payments. With the new and improved “Fatourati 2.0,” this number is expected to grow significantly.
“Fatourati 2.0” not only enhances the ease of electronic payments but also reinforces SEAAL’s commitment to adopting innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers, ensuring a modern and efficient service delivery.
Partial Payment Option on “Fatourati 2.0”
The upgraded “Fatourati 2.0” platform introduces a partial payment option, enabling customers to pay up to 50% of their total debt based on their financial capacity. This feature was developed following a comprehensive study conducted by SEAAL in January 2024, which analyzed customer feedback and highlighted the need for easier access and more flexible payment options.
Commitment to Innovation and Customer Satisfaction
“Fatourati 2.0” reflects SEAAL’s ongoing commitment to innovation and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing modern, efficient public services. Aissam Hosni Rouzeik, Director of Management Units and Customer Relationship Digitalization emphasized the platform’s user-friendly design. Unlike the previous version, where customers had to input a complex code of over 20 characters upon receiving their bill, the new system simplifies this process by only requiring a client code found on the invoice.
Rouzeik also reassured users of the platform’s security, noting its end-to-end data protection and immediate transaction processing. “Our goal at SEAAL is to fully digitalize our customer interactions, from connection requests to billing for services,” he stated.
