The initiative, Creators Competition: X Originals, was announced at the 1 Billion Followers Summit and will be developed in collaboration with X Originals, X’s entertainment content arm.
Participants must submit an original video concept running between seven and 20 minutes in one of five categories: Sports; Travel and Culture; Gaming and Technology; Lifestyle; or Philanthropy. Submissions must comply with Creators HQ’s content standards and X’s community guidelines.
The competition offers a total prize pool of $500,000, with five winners each receiving support valued at $100,000, including access to studios, production equipment, and creative tools.
“Through our strategic partnership with X, we aim to enable creators to refine their talents and develop projects capable of competing globally,” said Alia AlHammadi, Vice Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office and CEO of the 1 Billion Followers Summit.
Why UAE Creators HQ Matters to MENA
The initiative highlights the UAE’s ambition to position itself as a regional hub for the creator economy, using partnerships with global platforms to attract talent and scale high-value digital content. By backing creators with funding, infrastructure, and distribution, the competition strengthens the MENA digital economy and expands the region’s influence in global media and content production.
