Valu Set to Begin Trading on EGX After Share Distribution

Valu, Egypt’s fintech powerhouse, is officially on track to trade its shares on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), following a strategic in-kind dividend distribution by its parent company, EFG Holding S.A.E..

The fintech was listed on EGX on 21 May 2025, and trading is expected to commence during the week of 22 June 2025, pending final regulatory approvals from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).

The transaction involves EFG Holding distributing 20.488% of Valu’s share capital to its shareholders via an in-kind dividend, using EGP 335 million of its retained earnings from FY2024, instead of a cash payout.

Shareholders of EFG Holding will receive 1 Valu share for every 3.3273 EFG Holding shares they own, based on its book value as of 31 December 2024. Fractional shares will be allocated to minority shareholders.

📌 Record Date: 12 June 2025
📌 Eligible Holders: Those owning EFG Holding shares as of close of trading on 12 June 2025
📌 Next Step: Shareholders will become Valu’s direct shareholders upon completion of regulatory procedures
