Egyptian startup Zaher AI has raised $150,000 in early funding from angel investor Dr. Ahmed Sami, founder of Eye Advertising, while also joining Meska Venture Studio to accelerate its regional expansion.
The investment comes as the company officially launches across the Arab world as the first platform introducing Generative Engine Optimization (G.E.O) — a breakthrough visibility technology built for AI-driven platforms rather than traditional search engines.
Founded by Anwar Ali (CEO) and his team, Zaher AI is positioning itself at the forefront of a major digital shift, where users are increasingly turning to AI-driven search tools instead of conventional search engines.
Speaking at the Meska Spark Vol.1 Conference at Cairo University, Ali noted that global spending on SEO reached $106 billion in 2025, yet the Arab market remains largely untapped when it comes to G.E.O, which is still dominated by English-language solutions.
With over 400 million Arabic-speaking users in the Middle East and North Africa, Zaher AI sees an opportunity to empower businesses to strengthen their visibility on AI platforms.
Research indicates that 74% of searches among users under 30 in the region now happen through AI tools, underscoring the urgency for next-generation optimization strategies.
Zaher AI: Building Visibility for Arabic Digital Ecosystem
Zaher AI’s platform will target a wide range of users — from media organizations, news platforms, and real estate firms to e-commerce companies and consultancies — offering them tailored G.E.O solutions to boost discoverability.
The company also plans to provide integration tools for businesses looking to embed G.E.O directly into their products and services.
“Our goal is to make sure Arabic voices, businesses, and platforms don’t get left behind in the shift toward AI-driven search,” Ali said. “This funding is only the beginning, we are preparing additional funding rounds once our product achieves full stability and market readiness.”
By pioneering Generative Engine Optimization in Arabic, Zaher AI is setting the stage for a more inclusive digital economy, one where regional players can compete globally in the age of AI-first discovery.
