Ameca: Museum of the Future Upgrades AI Humanoid

Dubai’s Museum of the Future has unveiled an upgraded version of Ameca, one of the world’s most advanced humanoid robots, now deployed as an interactive assistant on the museum’s ‘Tomorrow, Today’ floor.

Equipped with AI-powered multilingual support and enhanced emotional responsiveness, Ameca is part of the museum’s broader strategy to explore the future of human-AI interaction.

The new Ameca rollout underscores the UAE’s ongoing push to position itself as a global hub for AI innovation and human-centric robotics. As public institutions adopt next-gen interactive technologies, they offer real-world testbeds for how AI can engage with diverse populations at scale.

Here’s what’s new about Ameca:

  • The enhanced robot now supports six languages — Arabic, English, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, and Russian — for more inclusive communication with the museum’s global visitors.
  • Powered by the Tritium 3 system, Ameca features AI tools like facial recognition, instant translation, and emotion analysis for natural, real-time engagement.
  • The robot’s updated design enables more precise movements and lifelike facial expressions, enhancing user experience.
  • Ameca operates as an intelligent guide, helping guests navigate exhibits and engage with emerging technologies.

The launch comes ahead of the upcoming AI Retreat, an exclusive event hosted by the museum in collaboration with the Dubai Future Foundation. The retreat will gather over 100 leaders from government, industry, and academia to explore AI’s role in shaping the future economy, talent development, and data infrastructure.

The Museum of the Future continues to serve as a high-profile venue for showcasing how AI and robotics will influence life, work, and society.
