BNPL Boom: Is Fintech Solving a Problem or Just Delaying It?

The first time I used a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option, I felt like I’d unlocked a cheat code for adulthood. I was on the homepage of my go-to e-commerce store, staring at a MacBook Air M2 I desperately needed for work but couldn’t afford in full. 

I had been saving towards changing my laptop for almost six months and paying for it was still a hassle. In the classical delusion that is typical with GenZs, I added the MacBook to the cart with the intention of manifesting the money at the point of checkout.
