The investment aligns with the objectives of the Hasad accelerator, a regional initiative aimed at strengthening food security through locally developed agricultural technologies. Croptimus, a graduate of the program, highlights how targeted acceleration models are translating into scalable, climate-focused businesses across emerging markets.

With VentureX’s support, Croptimus plans to expand environmentally efficient agricultural supply chains in Egypt and wider MENA markets. Its biochar-based solutions are designed to improve soil health, reduce water waste, and increase crop resilience—key priorities as the region faces mounting climate and food production pressures.

Founder Ahmed Hassanein described the partnership as a strategic catalyst for growth, emphasizing Croptimus’s mission to convert agricultural and food waste into high-impact biological products. He noted that the technology enables farmers and agribusinesses to lower emissions while adopting sustainable practices at scale.

As governments and investors across MENA prioritize food security, climate resilience, and green innovation, the VentureX–Croptimus partnership underscores how agri-tech startups are becoming central to the region’s long-term economic and environmental strategy.
