Alongside the equity raise, Lucid Capital also secured capital commitments of up to $200 million from financial institutions and accredited investors. The commitments will be deployed to support the operation and scaling of the company’s trading strategies across US equities and digital asset markets.
Founded in 2022 by San Shi, Yiyi Guo, and Hamad Al Dghair, Lucid Capital specializes in AI-powered algorithmic trading, leveraging advanced machine-learning models and autonomous AI agents. The platform is designed to deliver adaptive frequency control, real-time market responsiveness, and optimized trade execution across multiple asset classes.
With the new funding, Lucid Capital plans to deepen its AI research capabilities, expand its trading infrastructure, and strengthen partnerships with institutional investors. The company said these efforts are central to advancing its proprietary market strategies and supporting long-term scalability.
Originally established in the United States, Lucid Capital later relocated its operations to the UAE as it scaled. The move reflects a broader shift among fintech startups toward building globally distributed operations from the outset, while tapping into the Middle East’s growing appetite for data-driven trading, AI innovation, and cross-border financial infrastructure.
As regional interest in algorithmic trading and AI-led financial services continues to rise, Lucid Capital is positioning itself at the intersection of AI research and institutional-grade trading infrastructure, signaling how MENA-based fintechs are increasingly competing on a global stage.
Why Lucid Capital Matters to MENA’s Fintech Ecosystem
Lucid Capital highlights a growing shift in the MENA region toward AI-native financial infrastructure, moving beyond consumer fintech into institutional-grade trading and capital markets technology. Its ability to attract both venture funding and large capital commitments reflects increasing regional confidence in data-driven, algorithmic trading strategies.
The company’s relocation from the US to the UAE also reinforces the Gulf’s emergence as a global base for advanced fintech operations, where startups can scale AI research, access capital, and operate across borders simultaneously. For MENA markets seeking deeper liquidity, smarter risk management, and stronger integration into global financial systems, Lucid Capital represents a new class of fintechs building from the region, for global markets.
