DEEP.SA Raises SAR 4.5M to Boost AI in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s AI startup scene just got a major boost. DEEP.SA has secured SAR 4.5 million (approx. $1.2 million) in a Pre-Seed funding round led by Tam Development Co. and Raed Ventures.

The funding will support DEEP.SA’s efforts to build cost-saving, efficiency-boosting AI solutions tailored for government and enterprise needs across the Kingdom.

In line with the funding news, DEEP.SA also unveiled its flagship platform, alPlatformai, a secure, enterprise-grade portal that gives controlled access to advanced AI models.

Designed with strict compliance and data governance in mind, the platform is geared toward organizations in regulated industries, including government and finance, and its goal is to help institutions tap into AI innovation without compromising data privacy or operational integrity.

Strategic Investment to Advance Saudi AI Agenda

The backing from Raed Ventures and Tam Development Co. underscores a growing interest in Saudi-born AI technologies. With public sector transformation high on the national agenda, DEEP.SA is positioning itself as a key player in the Kingdom’s digital future.

The startup’s focus is clear—deliver localized AI solutions that drive tangible results—reduced costs, streamlined processes, and smarter decision-making for large-scale institutions.

The brains behind DEEP.SA include six Saudi innovators: Mazen Mleibari, Mohammed Daggas, Mazen Al-Otaibi, Ahmed Al-Suhaim, Fatimah Al-Saeed, and Ahmed Al-Rasheedi.

Their collective vision is to develop a suite of AI tools, agents, search engines, and smart platforms that serve both public and private sectors within the Kingdom and beyond.

What This Means for MENA Tech Startups

DEEP.SA’s funding round sends a strong message to the region’s startup ecosystem:

  • Local AI is Investable: The days of relying solely on imported AI models are fading. Homegrown innovation is being recognized and funded.
  • Public Sector Is the Launchpad: Startups that align with national digital transformation agendas, especially in Saudi Arabia, are gaining early traction.
  • Compliance-Centric Tech Matters: As governments across MENA tighten data and security regulations, solutions like alPlatformai are setting a new standard.
  • Regional Collaboration Could Follow: DEEP.SA’s progress could open the door to cross-border partnerships and AI pilot programs throughout the GCC.

For tech founders in the MENA region, this is a wake-up call: AI has moved beyond the hype, it’s now a real catalyst for scalable innovation.
