During the inaugural Dubai AI Week 2025, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, announced the launch of the Dubai AI Academy.
This initiative aims to train 10,000 professionals in artificial intelligence, focusing on leadership and practical applications across various sectors. The Academy is part of the Dubai AI Campus, located within the DIFC Innovation Hub, the region’s largest cluster dedicated to AI and advanced technologies.
The Academy will collaborate with esteemed institutions such as Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, Udacity, and the Minerva Project to offer globally accredited programs. Initial courses include ‘AI for Civil Service’ and ‘Leadership in the Age of AI,’ targeting government employees and business leaders.
These programs will cover essential topics like AI use cases, business integration strategies, and ethical frameworks for responsible AI adoption.
“Dubai will be the destination of choice for those who are seeking to lead the future of artificial intelligence,” Sheikh Hamdan stated. “We will continue to support impactful initiatives that showcase the promising and diverse applications of AI.”
Dubai AI Academy is Aligning with Dubai’s Strategic Vision for AI
The establishment of the Dubai AI Academy aligns with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI) and supports the DIFC 2030 Strategy, both aiming to enhance innovation and talent development in the emirate. By expanding AI education at scale, the Academy seeks to double the impact of AI on Dubai’s GDP and advance its global competitiveness.
The Dubai AI Campus complements this initiative by providing essential infrastructure, including computing power, business acceleration programs, and a specialized AI business licensing model. These resources are designed to support the integration of AI across various sectors, such as finance, education, and public services.
The launch of the Dubai AI Academy represents a significant step in Dubai’s commitment to becoming a global hub for AI, innovation, and technology. By investing in large-scale AI education and fostering international collaborations, Dubai aims to lead the global conversation on responsible and effective AI adoption.
