Eventocity Eyes MENA Expansion with AI-Driven Event

Eventocity, the Egyptian event management and marketing platform, is gearing up for a bold expansion across the Arab world and broader MENA region, with artificial intelligence (AI) at the core of its strategy.

In an interview with entArabi, Basmala Tarek, CEO of Eventocity, revealed that the startup is redefining how events are managed and how companies market themselves. “We currently have a clear strategy to reshape the culture of event organization and corporate marketing using artificial intelligence technologies across Egyptian cities and governorates, in partnership with both the public and private sectors,” she said.

More than just organizing events, Eventocity positions itself as a strategic partner—advising businesses on product development, promotional campaigns, and sales performance. Launched three years ago, the platform has already orchestrated 26 major events, collaborating with top Egyptian universities and even international entities such as a Japanese firm via the “BRICS Education” program.

It has also managed official graduation ceremonies in cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and continues to expand its institutional footprint through collaborations with:

  • The Ministry of Youth and Sports via the “Pathfinder” program in Al-Asmarat
  • Misr University, October 6 University, El Shorouk Academy, and the Canadian University
  • The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development under the Ministry of Planning

These partnerships reflect Eventocity’s broader commitment to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and skills development.

Eventocity: Driving Growth Through AI, Investment, and Regional Playbooks

Looking to deepen its impact, Eventocity is continuing its flagship “Business-In” program this May. According to Co-Founder Mohamed Walid, the upcoming fourth edition—titled “Automating Training”—builds on previous sessions that covered AI, business innovation, startups, and sales. The program runs twice a year and is entirely AI-led, reflecting Eventocity’s core belief that technology can reshape human capital development.

Fueling its next stage of growth is a fresh funding round from Edafa Ventures Capital. CEO Basmala Tarek confirmed that the capital injection will support a full-scale company restructuring, with investments in:

  • Marketing and brand development
  • Platform infrastructure
  • Entry strategies for regional Arab markets

“Edafa’s network will be instrumental in expanding our reach,” Tarek added, noting that the partnership will also power the launch of a new training academy targeting youth aged 10–17. The academy aims to foster entrepreneurial thinking among children and teens, equipping them with business skills early on.

Crucially, Tarek emphasized that Eventocity has no ceiling when it comes to its expansion ambitions. “We are not limiting ourselves to specific countries or companies,” she said, signaling a clear intent to scale across the MENA region and take its AI-enabled model global.

As regional demand for digital transformation, skills development, and intelligent marketing solutions accelerates, Eventocity is well-positioned to become a pioneer in the Middle East’s smart event-tech space.
