Lenovo is deepening its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with the establishment of a new regional headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh, reinforcing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a strategic hub for the company’s long-term regional ambitions.
The new headquarters will be located at Al Majdoul Tower, one of Riyadh’s prime business destinations and home to several Public Investment Fund (PIF) entities.
By anchoring itself in this innovation corridor, the company is positioning the Kingdom as a springboard for its MENA expansion and as a cornerstone in its global growth strategy.
How Lenovo is Strengthening MENA Strategy
The Riyadh RHQ will serve as a central base to scale operations across the region, with planned investments in flagship retail spaces, VIP customer centers, R&D, marketing, and regional partnerships.
According to Matt Dobrodziej, Senior Vice President & President, Lenovo EMEA, the company’s initiatives—including the RHQ, new retail operations, and a Riyadh-based manufacturing facility—are expected to contribute up to USD 10 billion to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP by 2030.
“Through our strategic investments and partnerships in the Kingdom, Lenovo is not only supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 but also enabling the digital and industrial transformation of the wider MENA region,” Dobrodziej said.
Manufacturing and Partnerships
The expansion follows Lenovo’s collaboration with ALAT, a PIF-owned company, to accelerate industrial diversification and bolster advanced manufacturing in Saudi Arabia.
Together, the partners have broken ground on a 200,000 sqm state-of-the-art facility, further cementing Riyadh’s role as a hub for technological and industrial innovation.
“By investing in advanced manufacturing and deepening our regional footprint, we aim to drive sustainable growth while creating a strong technology ecosystem in MENA,” Dobrodziej added.
