OmniOps Secures $8m in Funding from GMS Ventures

OmniOps, a leading provider of AI infrastructure solutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the successful closing of a SAR 30 million (about $8 million) funding round from GMS Capital Ventures.

The investment provides OmniOps with the resources to scale its operations, enhance its R&D efforts, and build an advanced AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.

Recently founded in 2024, the startup is led by Saudi entrepreneur Mohammed Al Tasan and backed by a strategic board of directors that includes Zaid Al Farkh as a technical advisor and board member. It is uniquely positioned to meet the growing demand for AI solutions across the Kingdom.

The company focuses on developing sustainable and energy-efficient High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters specifically designed to meet customer needs.

In addition, the company is developing a sovereign and compatible AI computing cluster integrated with advanced machine learning operations (ML Ops) features, which contribute to simplifying the deployment of AI applications and enhancing operational efficiency. These solutions provide a scalable infrastructure that enables enterprises and government entities to accelerate their AI journey.

Comments from OmniOps and GMS Ventures

“At OmniOps, we aim to empower enterprises with advanced, efficient, and scalable solutions. Optimizing AI infrastructure with OmniOps helps our customers reduce GPU power consumption by up to 50%, and double the speed of work, resulting in up to 14x GPU efficiency improvements.

“This enables enterprises to embrace AI technologies with confidence, while significantly improving power consumption and lowering total cost of ownership,” said Altassan.

This investment highlights the growing importance of AI in Saudi Arabia, a key pillar of Vision 2030.

The Saudi National Data and AI Strategy focuses on data sovereignty, privacy, and local content across critical sectors such as government, energy, aviation, and healthcare. This makes OmniOps’ AI infrastructure services particularly relevant in this rapidly evolving ecosystem.

Commenting on the investment round, GMS Ventures said: “We are delighted to partner with Mohammed Al-Tasan and the outstanding OmniOps team. We believe that OmniOps is on its way to becoming a leading AI infrastructure services provider in Saudi Arabia.

“In addition to financial support, we will leverage our extensive expertise and global network to support OmniOps in strengthening its position within the Kingdom’s AI ecosystem.”

OmniOps already enjoys the trust of major companies and government organizations, including Saudi Airlines and CNTxt. It has also established strategic partnerships with global technology companies such as NVIDIA, Google Cloud, AMD, Pure Storage, IBM, HPE, Supermicro, and Lenovo.

These partnerships ensure that customers have the latest technologies needed to achieve their strategic goals and drive digital transformation.
