Apple has announced plans to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia by launching an online store in the summer of 2025, followed by multiple Apple Store openings in 2026.
The company is considering establishing a flagship retail outlet in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as part of its broader expansion strategy.
The upcoming online store will feature Apple’s entire product lineup and introduce Arabic-language support for the first time.
“We are excited to be expanding here in Saudi Arabia with the launch of the Apple Store online next year,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Apple’s growing footprint builds on its previous investments in the country. In 2021, the company partnered with the Saudi government, Tuwaiq Academy, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to launch the region’s first Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh.
The all-women academy, based at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, trains coders, designers, and entrepreneurs. Nearly 2,000 students have completed its courses and published their apps on the App Store.
Additionally, Apple plans to expand its coed Foundation program, with the next session slated for spring 2025, following the success of its inaugural event this summer.
Since 2019, developer revenues in Saudi Arabia have surged by over 1,750 percent. Over the past five years, Apple has invested more than SAR10 billion ($2.67 billion) in local businesses.
