The Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council, in collaboration with MATAR, the Qatar Company for Airports Operation and Management, has launched a new open innovation opportunity through its Qatar Open Innovation (QOI) program. This initiative aims to seek innovative, adaptive, and personalized training programs for employees. Proposals are due by August 8, 2024.
QRDI and MATAR invite startups, SMEs, and corporates to submit proposals for AI-generated meta-cognitive assessment solutions that focus on personalized adaptive micro-learning and enhanced reporting mechanisms. MATAR has established a robust competency framework for talent management, utilizing data-driven insights and network analytics to support various organizational functions and foster employee growth and career advancement.
Oscar Barranco Liebana, Enterprise Innovation Program Director at QRDI Council, stated, “QRDI empowers local enterprises through challenge-driven innovation. We identify key business challenges and collaborate with top global partners to enhance ROI and reduce time-to-market. MATAR will leverage the Qatar Open Innovation program to maximize talent potential and address business needs through AI-powered digital tools tailored to individual roles and career aspirations.”
Sebastian Arkadiusz Wojtun, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at MATAR, added, “Investing in our people and adopting innovative learning solutions is central to the MATAR Development Strategy. Implementing adaptive learning is essential for our workforce’s growth in a changing industry and will support our organizational growth plans. Our partnership with QRDI and the Qatar Open Innovation program will expedite our access to digital and customized learning models.”
The Qatar Open Innovation program serves as a key platform for startups and innovators to collaborate with government and corporate entities, creating market-ready solutions to tackle pressing national challenges across five priority areas: energy, health, resource sustainability, society, and digital technology, as outlined in the QRDI Strategy 2030.
