Reon Energy Partners With AYCCL to Transform Yemen's Cement Industry

Reon Energy, an industry leader in clean technology, has partnered with Arabian Yemen Cement Company Limited (AYCCL) to address the energy needs of Yemen’s cement sector.

This partnership will introduce cutting-edge technology through Reon’s intelligent renewable microgrid solution, which includes a 13.5MW solar power project and a 5.59MWh Reflex Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) managed by SPARKTM, Reon’s Intelligent Energy Management Platform.

Emphasizing the impact of this partnership, Mujtaba Khan, the CEO of Reon Energy, said, “This collaboration marks a significant step in our commitment to delivering practical, efficient solutions tailored to industry-specific energy challenges.” He added, “We look forward to driving positive change in the energy landscape of the cement industry with Arabian Yemen Cement Company Limited.”

This partnership focuses on reducing energy costs and minimizing carbon emissions. By integrating solar power and enhancing the efficiency of existing Gensets, the project is expected to significantly cut fuel consumption while optimizing operations for better fuel efficiency.

Speaking on the partnership with Reon Energy, Waheeb Al-Azab, the CEO of AYCCL, expressed that it signifies a “monumental stride towards sustainable energy practices.” He also added that it enables the company to “harness solar power, significantly reduce our carbon footprint, and optimize fuel efficiency in our operations.”

At the core of the project is Reon’s Reflex system, featuring advanced BESS technology with liquid-cooled batteries designed to operate efficiently in harsh environments. Paired with the SPARKTM Microgrid Controller, the system responds rapidly—within 250 milliseconds—to any changes in power demand, ensuring consistent power reliability.

This intelligent solution could reduce energy costs by up to 20%, boosting economic benefits, increasing productivity, and improving operational uptime for AYCCL.

Reon’s tech-driven approach promises to revolutionize AYCCL’s energy mix, transforming the company’s operations by integrating sustainable power sources
