Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management, has announced the construction of a cutting-edge 20,000 sq m manufacturing facility at King Salman Energy Park (Spark), located between Dammam and Al-Ahsa.
Emphasizing the broader impact of the facility, Mohammed Shaheen, Schneider Electric’s Cluster President for Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Bahrain, said, “This strategic partnership with King Salman Energy Park not only affirms Schneider Electric’s commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia’s energy landscape but also highlights our dedication to strengthening localization of services in the sector.”
While this facility will primarily support Saudi Arabia’s energy value chain, Schneider Electric’s involvement extends to the MENA region, including Yemen, as part of its commitment to enhancing energy services.
The facility will produce critical systems like the Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), and Compressor Control System (CCS), which are crucial for improving energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and potentially influencing future developments in Yemen.
These advanced systems ensure optimal and secure industrial processes, a priority for the energy sectors in both Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
This partnership is poised to enhance energy reliability and efficiency across Schneider’s regional markets, benefiting Yemen’s future energy needs by introducing sustainable and secure energy systems.
The project, expected to be completed by 2025, will receive a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, further demonstrating Schneider’s commitment to sustainability in the region.
