SILZ Unveils Vision to Transform Saudi Arabia’s Logistics Future at Web Summit 2025

Saudi Arabia’s SILZ highlights its logistics and digital innovation roadmap at Web Summit 2025, showcasing Riyadh Integrated as a key driver in the Kingdom’s USD 76 billion digital economy.

Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a global powerhouse in logistics and digital innovation gained fresh momentum this week as the Special Integrated Logistics Zone Company (SILZ) joined the Invest Saudi delegation at Web Summit Lisbon 2025.

Using one of the world’s largest tech stages, SILZ showcased how the Kingdom’s USD 76 billion digital economy is converging with its rapidly evolving logistics ecosystem, a combination set to reshape trade, connectivity, and investment flows across the region.

For context, SILZ was established in 2022 to support Saudi Arabia’s diversification and global connectivity goals. The company is the developer and operator behind Riyadh Integrated, the Kingdom’s first Special Integrated Logistics Zone, spanning three million square metres near King Khalid International Airport. Since its launch, the project has become a magnet for international investors in logistics, e-commerce, and manufacturing.

So far, around 55% of the first phase has been booked. Global brands such as Lenovo (setting up a 200,000 sqm factory) and Chalhoub Group (developing a 40,000 sqm regional hub) have joined the roster, alongside Unipart Logistics, Bahri, CJ Logistics, SHEIN, iHerb, and Sapphire — a lineup that firmly positions Riyadh Integrated among the region’s most promising logistics clusters.

At the summit, SILZ executives positioned the company as a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s logistics transformation strategy, connecting East and West through smart infrastructure, innovation, and digitalised trade systems. The wider Saudi tech ecosystem has already attracted USD 14.9 billion in technology investments, supported by 20 subsea cables and data centres delivering 1,300 megawatts of capacity — a testament to the country’s digital ambitions.

SILZ also offers robust investor incentives: tax relief for up to 50 years, 100% foreign ownership, and direct airport access. These advantages, coupled with its strategic location, make it a compelling destination for logistics and e-commerce firms. The company was recently named “Logistics Hub of the Year” for driving over 60,000 local jobs and fostering industry growth.

Still, the next big test will be balancing rapid expansion with sustainability and operational efficiency. As global logistics continues its shift toward automation and smart technologies, SILZ’s success will depend on how well it integrates innovation with performance and resilience.

For now, all signs point to Riyadh Integrated, and by extension, SILZ, playing a leading role in turning Saudi Arabia into a next-generation logistics and digital trade hub.
