Saudi-based construction tech startup TruBuild has raised $1 million in Seed funding to take on one of the construction industry’s biggest pain points: cost overruns, delays, and inefficiencies in large-scale projects.
The round was led by Wa’ed Ventures (the $500M VC arm of Saudi Aramco) and Dar Ventures, with participation from Plug & Play Ventures, OQAL, Taz Investment, and key angel investors like Simon Moon, former CEO of Atkins Middle East.
The startup which was co-founded by Bisrat Degefa (CEO) and Dr. Sari Sabban (CTO), is using AI to plug a $1.6 trillion global gap in the construction industry caused by project misalignments and lack of transparency.
Their platform integrates seamlessly with tools used by contractors, consultants, and project owners, working quietly in the background to spot early risks, automate documentation, and keep everyone aligned, reducing decision bottlenecks and admin overload.
