UAE-based startup A47 has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate the development of an AI-native news platform designed to deliver verified, real-time information while combating fragmented feeds and misinformation.

The round was led by a mix of institutional and angel investors. Founded by Ali Rizvi and Shehab Gargash, A47 is positioning itself as a media infrastructure company rather than a conventional publisher. The platform leverages autonomous AI agents, real-time data ingestion, multi-model orchestration, and embedded verification systems to source, analyze, validate, and present news across business, geopolitics, technology, finance, sports, and culture.
“This company is being built as a long-term media infrastructure company with the ambition to help shape how verified information is delivered,” said Shehab Gargash, chairman and co-founder of A47.
The startup addresses structural challenges in today’s news ecosystem, including algorithm-driven noise, unverified content, and fragmented feeds. Unlike platforms optimized for clicks and engagement loops, A47 prioritizes clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
The platform is designed to allow users to customize their news experience, including preferred topics, depth of coverage, formats, and alerts.
