According to the Council, AI-powered drones will enhance the direct visual observation method, which remains central to confirming the Ramadan crescent in accordance with Islamic teachings. The drones will work alongside naked-eye sightings and advanced astronomical observatories, ensuring greater precision in determining the holy month’s beginning.
This initiative is being implemented in collaboration with national institutions, specialized research centers, and observatories equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
