ZabonEx, a food and beverage (F&B) analytics startup based in Oman, has raised USD 100,000 in a pre-seed round led by Future Fund Oman and ITHCA Group.
The funding marks a key milestone for the company as it ramps up efforts to reduce food waste and improve distribution across Oman’s F&B ecosystem.
Founded by Hatim Moosa and Almuhannad Al Balushi, ZabonEx offers a predictive analytics platform that helps F&B producers, distributors, and retailers anticipate customer-level demand.
By delivering real-time, granular insights, the platform enables businesses to optimize inventory, streamline logistics, and cut down on waste.
“We enable these businesses to make more informed decisions through predictive data,” said Co-founder Almuhannad Al Balushi. “That not only improves margins, it also significantly reduces environmental impact.”
Product Development and Local Expansion
With the new capital, ZabonEx will further develop its predictive engine, grow its tech team, and integrate onboarding and analytics tools customized for Oman’s F&B landscape.
The company also plans to forge partnerships with local producers and retailers to embed its solution into the country’s food supply chain.
“This investment will support both business development and product enhancement as we focus on building a strong local presence,” said Co-founder Hatim Moosa.
“Regional expansion is in our roadmap, but Oman remains our priority.”
